Pendry and Fisher did ma scoring for Omaha Thursday and War Bandar took car of tha defensive part of tha game and aw to It that bo Cooleylt reached third baa. ' riahar'and Pandry divided the stellar honors. This pair did some real cham pionship work on three occasions and were responsible for winning the fame, which made two shut-outs In succession from Topaha, and Incidentally gave Omaha fourth plaoa In tha pennant race. What a ame It waa! Full of startling features from start to finish with the larva bunch of fan present treated to as fin as exhibition of baaaball a fan may often . They say parfaot fielding by both teams, for. not a wabble waa made and they saw two pt toner gW a good aoeount of themaehrea. They aaw soma sensational top and soma real pinoh hitting. Omaha' runs were mad in exactly the am fashion In ta sixth and eighth In nings In tha sixth Inning, with two out, Hed Fisher came to bat, and delivered the goods . with a single to left field whloh would have been a double but for a epeo taoular ana-handed stop by Fenlon. He then stole second. Neither side had scored and all ; reliance was placed on Jack Pen dry. He was . there. He waited for on to his liking and boosted It to right field and Fisher scooted bom with the first run of t gam. ' Fisher aaa Penary rtf. In the 'eighth lnhtng two were again flown when Fisher came to bat, and he beat out a ' throw from Kunkle. It waa the second hit of the game that Fisher had made by "beating out Infield throws. Again was Pendry up, and again did he wait for Fisher to steal second,' and again did he line It o' right field, whll Fisher scored. Pendry wanted to-keep up his reputation as a base stealer, so he purloined second and scored on Welch's drive to left field. That wa all', the scoring done during the game. ..... Sanders started as though wild and passed Wooley, the first man up. The fleetfooted Topekan was doubled on the next play, when Oeler lined one at San ders' headi and the Tennesseean whirled and put tha ball to first before Wooley could return. . . The fifth Inning was the only one that looked dangerous for the Rourkes. Fen lon opened with a double, but was caught at third when he tried to move up a notch on Tnomason's hit to Sanders. Thomason was caught trying' to steal second, and the danger wa past. . Fenlon singled In th seventh, and was scooting towards home on Kern high hit to right-center, but Pendry ran way , back and made a beaut of a catoh, which ended the Inning. Today will be Ladles' day and Pa may send Bdmundson.ln to do the honors for th oecalon. Th score: OMAHA " " ' AB. R. Try as hard as he could, "Ducky'' Holmes was unable to send In a slab artist that the Indians could not hit. All pitchers looked alike to them. Manager Walters slammed out a home run off Alderman, who started the fame, and he was promptly benched, habek tried the box for three Innings and Miller btngled a four-bagger over center field fence. From came to hia relief, but was equally easy, the Puebs camping on hia trail for several hlta and run dur ing the last three innings.
