WICHITA, Kan., June 26. Wichita
handed the game to Omaha today on a
silver platter. With the score t to 1, In
their favor, the locals allowed the visitors
three In the ninth Inning on errors by
Cole and Roberts and King's two-base
hit. Cole, outfielder, subbing for Ander
son, who Is out on account of a sprained
ankle, had a bad day at short and really
vas responsible for the loss of the game.
Omaha scored In the seventh on hits by
Pendry and Franck and Jle's third error.
Three came In the ninth, when Cole threw
wide to first and gave Kane two banes on
what , ought to have been an easy out.
Roberts dropped Westerxll's throw of Pen
dry's grounder and Franck sacrificed.
Cadman, batting for Oondlng,' popped out,
but Hollenbcck's grounder was handled
badly by Roberts and two men scored.
Fisher walked and Hollenbeck scored the
winning run on King's two-base hit. - The
locals had two men on bases with none
out In the ninth, but permitted Omaha to
pull off .a double play by poor base run
ning. Pettigrew's hit, a. stolen base and
Pendry'a error gave the meals their first
run. Their second came on Cole's two-
base ' hit, a sacrifice and Hughes' single.
The last came In the eighth on Hughes'
two-base hit and WestersU'g long single

exciting all the way through and marked
by rain, wrangling with Umpire Olenalvln
and long hitting on both sides. Pueblo took
the first gome from Lincoln by the scor
of 9 to 8. There was a man on third and
second when Jude was retired In the ninth.
Johnson was batted out of the box In th
seventh Inning, when the locals secured
four singles and Mltze's two-bagger, netting
five runs. Mltse's drive coming with th-
bases full. In the ninth Inning Hatch
walked three men which, with Jehl's error,
forced In a run, and Jack Thomas scored
two more with a two-bagger to left field,
but this ended tlie scoring. It was a con
tinuous wrangle with Olenalvln. and Man
ager Walters was put out of the game for
claiming a balk on the part of Johnson
