Magee, with his wife, Mrs. Ella Cotton Nash Magee, will be the com plaining witness In police court Friday morning against four young men, Herbert Mullen, Otto Mels, Jules Rose and Ran Salter, who are charged with playing baseball in the street in a complaint filed by City Prosecutor Daniel. It is said Mr. and Mrs. Magee, with the latter's little daughter, Fredericka Nash, were Just leaving the Seventeenth street entrance of the Brandels building In an automobile Wednesday noon when a ball thrown by one of the youths struck Mrs. Magee forcibly, on the left arm. It was In 1889, while serving as captain In the Omaha fire department, that John Anderson met .with the accident that re sulted' in losing his' mind and his removal to the asylum at Hastings, where he has been confined for nineteen years. , In the absence of the customary cart for carrying hose. Company No. 6 was using a lumber wagon to transport -the apparatus. Captain,, Anderson in answering a call with his men, was standing In ths wagon as It turned the -corner at Twenty-seventh and Leavenworth streets. The wagon swerved as It went around the corner and Captain Anderson was hurled from 4t to the pave ment, on which his head struck,. The fall resulted In serious injuries to his scalp and he became Insane. A short time after meeting with the accident Captain Ander son was removed to the Hastings asylum, where he grew neither worss nor better until his death last night. John Anderson Is survived by a widow, three daughters, and one son, all living in Omaha. The widow, Mrs. Rachel Ander son lives with her son, and one daughter, Mrs. W. JT. Leary, at, 1620 north Twenty sixth street. The other two daughters are Mrs. C. A. Bauer and Mrs. W. H.
