Mrs. May Noble's Riverside hotel on
North Thirty-seventh street was In the
spot light again yesterday.. Under an In-
formation eworn to before Justice J. K.
Cooper by Sheriff McCaffery, ft search
warrant was issued. According to the com-1
plaint filed, the sheriff had suspicions that
the Riverside hotel "was a plaoe used a
a gambling house." ' It Is said that on ft
former visit of deputy sheriffs to the
"hotel" some slot machines were In evi
dence, but when the officers got there
yesterday afternoon the place was" bare.

Pike, wife of Frank Pike, and was executed
by Constable Baker. The officer seised
several demijohns and bottles said to con
tain alcohol, whisky, braftdy and "spirits,
frumentl" and conveyed them to the court
of Justice Cooper In the automoblia or
Sherman Humphrey, custodian of the
county court house. J
Druggist Oard was absent from the store
when the officer made the raid, but when
he learned of It he hastened to the justice's
office, accompanied by Councilman Skods-
holm, to ascertain the cause of the seiiur.
Mr. Oard declared he had the proper permit
to sell liquor and denied the slightest ac-
quaratance with Mrs. Nettle Pike or her
husband, Frank Pike.
