Frank Ootch. wurld'a ihainplon wrestler,
will wrestle Charley Olson of 81. Loul at
the Auditorium the night of May 24. It will
be a straight finish match, c.tih-as-ctch-can,
best two out of three.
Emll Klank, Gotch's partner and man
ager, dropped into the city yesterday morn
ing and made arrangements for the match
with Manager Gillan of the Auditorium.
Klank was Joined here In the evening by
Ootch, who came over from Des Moines,
and they proceeded to Denier, where Ootch )
and Fred Beell wrestle tomorrow night.
Olson Is a great wrestler, one of the best.
He has" beaten Beell and some of the other
top-notchers and has been anxious to go to
a finish with Gotch. He is a big fellow,
powerfully built and quick.
"I am enjoying life immensely, though
living a strenuous one." stld Gotch. Smil
ing as usual, at the train last evening.
"ThIN hard constant work agref with me,
though after my wrestle with Olson In
Omaha I will go into summer quarters fur
a good rest. I want to get Into fine form
for my match next January with Hacken
Schmidt at Melbourne, Australia, for I don't
want any more draw affairs."
. Golrh Reals After Maleh.
Gotch tarried In Des Moines for a few
hours of rnst after his wrestle there Mon
day night with Jess- Westergaard.
Emll dropped up to The Bee office as
ususl upon bis arrival.
"Mahmopt. the Turk. Is a good one."
said Klank. In referring to the Gotch-Mah-mout
match In Chicago recently. "Yes,
Gotch 'wound him up quickly, but not as
quickly as I expected him to. nor as quickly
as Gotch figured on We had everything
cut and dried for Frank to go right In, not
stall a minuto. and pick that big felloe- up
and throw hint Co the mat. But the Turk
was too much for till easy work. 1 didn't
expect him to stay more than three min
utes In the first bout nnd two In the sec
ond, but lie stayed eight In one and nine
in the other. Ho gave Gotch a good run
while lie lasted and twice got back of
Frank. Once he held up straight over his
head and Frank had to worm fast to get
away.
"Jess Westergaard did very well against
Gotch, but Jess must get more speed.
"We have a great many matches on
hand for the next few weeks. We will
go from Denver on to the Pacific coast,
taking In Portland and othvr cities in
Oregon and Washington.
"I believe Frank will have Httle trouhle
In winding up Huckenschmldt In Melbourne
when they meet tn January.
"There's nothing to that report about
frame anil Hack meeting this summer at
