Court Must Say Which Farmer May Till Land Two Husbandmen from Thurston County Put Problem Up to Judge Munger. The United States circuit court Is being called upon to decide the right of two farmers to farm one piece of land and wl lch one Is the trespasser. The case comes from Thurston county and Involves the much litigated Indian land of the Omaha reservation. The special liti gants In this case are James Q. Koefe r.galnst Joseph 8. Conwty, with Hiram Chese, the Indian attorney, representing tho plaintiff. H appears that Keefe nnd a co-tenHnt liue some lease rights to the land and have fanned It for a year or more and put the ground In condition last fall for crop ping during the liVX) season, lhe, purpose being to sow It to oats. Now comes J. F. Conway, who has begun plowing up. the land to put It In corn, much to the worry and Indignation of Mr. Keefe. Whereupon Mr. lCcefe asks that the federal court en join Conway from proceeding with lhe corn crop proposition. Conway also claims some sort of title or leasehold from the original owners of the land, and this part of the proposition hns been pending in the district court of Thurston county for gome time. The question of title to the land la not Involved In the present hearing, the only question being that the defendant (Con way) be enjoined from trespassing upon the premises until the matter of title Is definitely settled. -The arguments on the motion of an Injunction were threshod over Monday and Judge Munger bus taken the matter under advisement. Man Offers Reward for Runaway Wife Will Give Twenty-Five Dollars for Return of Woman with Her Little Daughter. "Wanted, a runaway wife. Twenty-five dollars for her return." This Is the gist of a letter received Sun day by the police. It Is from A. D. Sigler of Fairfax, 8. D., who says that his spouse, with her 2-year-old daughter, left home March SI and came to Omaha. The police have been aaked to help find her. G. 0b P. WILL WIN BINGHAM Repabliran Ticket Appeals, to All Good Men, Nays 4 halrman. It has become the custom. Just betore election, for the chairman of the respective, campaign committees to Issue a statement. On our side we have conducted a fair and manly campulgn In behalf of a ticket com posed of gentlemen of business capacity who will not only restore "Omaha's good name," but give the people Just what they are looking for a thorough-going, progies- slve administration of city affairs, in keep ing with our splendid growth. The republican ticket must appeal to all men Imbued with civic pride, regardless of political faith. The real Issue cannot be hid or be covered up by attempting to stir up passions by misrepresentations. If John P. Brein for major and his associates on the ticket are elected every voter realises that It Is an end of what la too well known as "Dahlman Democracy." With the support our ticket is receiving from honest democrats, sincerely opposed to "cowboy politics," who can doubt the issus at tomorrow's election? It Is now up to the people. Omaha has a good, safe re publican majority, and this year a United party behind It which la going to be re inforced, I am told, by at least 1,500 demo cratic voles as a protest against existing conditions. So while we hsve every confi dence in a splendid majority If the voters mill now do their duty, we will not claim it as wholly a republican victory, but as the united effort of both republicans and dem ocrats to place In the city hall men who are truly representative of and will keep step with the march of events now st hand which will give us a Greater Omaha. The Australian system makes It imperative to vote early in the day. Polls close st ( o'clock. W. W. BINGHAM.
