The present values are based upon the domestic conditions, and i th present stocks decrease further ad vances are predicted. Receipts of corn are more liberal, with the more favorable weather and the ad vance In prices haa checked the export saies, and the local demand Is epasdomlc snd values decline quickly when buylna ceases. Whefit- cables responded well to our ad vance yesterday, causing a strong opening today. Later wheat came out freely on thu bulge and selling was heavy hv commis sion houses and local lonus. May wheat opened at I1.02H and olosed at Sl.olH. The corn market suffered a setback, owing to the heavier receipts as a result of inn more ravnrahle shipping wenner. The market answer readily to any buying, but reacta with 'a lack of support. May corn oneneH al tjip and closed at 57c. Primary wheat reeelnta were . An increase of nearly 6,000.(00 bu. for the week In the world's visible supply of wheat created bearish sen timent In the wheat market here today and caused a net loss at the close of V'f Sc. Corn, oat and provisions also closed weak. There was a reversal of local trade con dltlona In the wheat pit today, from the market of the pievlouB . clay. IsenTlment In the pit being bearish throughout the en tire day. The course of the market was largely ahaped by the leading . bulla, who sold quite freely from start to finish. The fact that the short Interest waa eliminated to a great extent by yesterday's bulge, helped to weaken the market. A noticea ble feature of today's pioceedings was the shifting over from the May delivery to the July option, owing to the congested condition at the former delivery. The chief weakening factor was Hradstreeta' state ment of the world's visible supply, which howed an Increase of 4.800.000 bu. for the week. There was a mild show or firm ness at the opening, due to the strength of the fu.-eign wheat markets, but .this -was oon sidestepped'. '-The- market closed Weak and onlv a trifle above the lowest point of the day, with May at ll.wiv, and July at 7',a98c. Clearances of wheat and flour wer euual to 143.0O0 bu. The corn market developed considerable weakness. In expectation of considerable receipt on corn from the Interior. The market closed down ss4T'Hc. compared with the previous clove. Final quotations on May were at KlVifOS'ic, arid on July, 63'c. Oata exhibited a weak tone during the entire session. The market closed weak, with prices down i&c to VjC, with May at 61c and July at 4ic. Provision were weak on general liquida tion, local packers being among the chief seller. The market was bearishly af fected by unexpectedly large stocks of pro vision at outside packing centers. At the close prices were 7V&15c lower. Th leading future ranged a follow: SKW YORK r.F.ERAI. DreaaecT beef men took their time anout getting out into the yard and bids were generally in tne naignoornooa 01 luttriao lower than early Monday morning. The trade was naturally slow and price very uneven, but the feeling was aecmeniy weak and the Indications were that busi ness would done on a decidedly lower basis if anything like a clearance was made. Up until a late hour In the. after noon comparatively few c&ttle had changed bands. The market ' for cowa and neirers wss slso very dull, and unevenly lower. Most of the demand came from local packers, as there wa very little inquiry tor snipping account. Bid and sales wer generally all of 10c lower than yesterday, while common and canning grades could hardly be moved at all, even at the prevailing low figures. In stockers and feeders the volume of busines waa comparatively small. Prices were anywhere from steady en th mora de sirable grade to fully 10c lower on tne medium stuff. The movement was slow from start ta finish.
