Stevens, a negro accused of stealing $S0,0C0
from a registered mail pouch her several
months ago, was found guilty on all of six
counts today In the federal Court. Th
maximum penalty- would be thirty-five
years in tho penitentiary. Stevens was
placed on trial Wednesday lsst. He Is ac
cused of stealing from th mails a pouch
being sent to New York City by a Los
Angeles bank.
