In observance of Roah Hashone, the New Year In the Hebrew calender, special ser vice were held by the congregation of Tempi Israel Friday evening. The hand some new synagogue at Twenty-ninth and Jackson streets was filled with the mem bers to participate In the worship, which was the first observance of the month of festivals that are incident to the new year, year. Beginning at sunset Friday evening, the celebration of the Jewiali New Year by the Reformed church continues till the same time today, and another service at Temple Israel is to be held at 10 o'clock thla morn ing, when tho rabhi, the Rev. Frederick Colin, will speak on "Loyalty, " and the special New Year's musical service will be used. .
