rnents for a Marathon race, the first to be
held on the Pacific coast, have been made
by the Century Athletlo club, rfhe course
of twenty-five miles will extend from
Frultdale to Haywa-nla, over shaded roada
and. canyona. The race will be open to all
reglatered amateurs and all applicants will
have to undergo a rigid medical examina
tion. The rave will probably be run
