to place funds. There was a sharp advance
In the Ixmdon copper market and the min
ing and smelting stocks were conspicuous

were light, only sixty-seven car. being re
ported In. Among the arrival, wa. quite
a sprinkling of we.terna.
There were hardly enough beef ateer. on
.al thi. morning to make a teat of values
or to establish a market. What few there
were .old at prices that looked a little
higher than Friday, at leait Km lie higher.
The offering, were well taken early In the
morning, everything being .old and weighed
up at an early hour.
Cows and heifer, were In fair demand
and the few here sold quit readily at
prices generally considered 10c timber than
last week. A bunch of we.tern spayed
heifers sold up a. high as 15.00.
Htookera and feeders were very alow and
weak, there being a lack of country de
mand. A bunch of westerns sold up a hlgii
as 64.76.
