MONTANA GROWERS ARE IN LINE Maar Hla Sheep Raisers la That .- Stale Wtl Ship large Qaaa. titles of Wool to tho . Omaha Market. When the fnion Pacific rates permitting tho storage of wool at Omaha for twelve anonths wherj freight U p-t'd to the Missis sippi river became effective Friday, It was learned by the Commercial club aud those Interested In the wool market that they more aatisfactory and covered rltory than it was expected they were mm a wider Would. Tlk permits tho storage In Omaha on shipments originating in Wyoming on the I'nlom Pacific, Colorado Southern or Colorado A Wyoming. In Colorado on the V'nion Pacific. Colorado Southern. Colorado Midland, Colorado & Wyoming. Colorado Ac Southeastern, Denver Rio Grande of Great Weatern. In Nebraska on the Union Pacific, In New Mexico on the Colorado A Southern. Denver Rio Grande and the Santa I re ventral, also rrora Dragon, Utah on the 1 lintah. The new tariff was found not to apply to rtah wool, although tho offlclala are working on a tariff which will care for wool from Utah and Idaho on the Oregon Short line. The Union Pacific was not able to put the tariff Into effect aa soon as the North western and Burlington linea, because the road terminates at Omaha and the con currence of the Iowa lines had to be ob tained as well as the conser.t cf the Oregon Short line. The Omaha builness men are wiring dally the officials of the Milwaukee A St. Paul, and It Is hoped, with the special permission of the Interstate Commerce commission, to get a through rats on tho Milwaukee and St. Paul road effective not later than July 16, which will be early enough to accommo date thoke who desire to ship to Omaha, as the Montana growers are backward In shearing, some of the largest growers not yet having clippei a fleece, Mr. Ballard reports that one South Omaha banker, who Is Interested in banks in Montana has got the report well cir culated In that territory that If Omaha banks loan money on wool they will want tho money again In from sixty to ninety days and will compel the growers to sell when the loans become due. Daakero Aro Provoked. Though this has not Injured the possibili ties of gelling the wool to Omaha to any great extent. It has provoked tho lndlgna lion of tho bankers of Omaha and tho president of ono of ths Omaha national banks said: "It should be apparent to the wool grow era that the banks cf Omaha should b fully a wtU oiu.fj.ed to advance money on wool as . the commission houses and brokers of the east who borrow the money they advance anywhere they can sell their paper. "Experience haa taught commercial banks that loans should be made for thirty, sixty, ninety days or four months, but It Is safe to say that the banks cf Omaha will treat the wool growers the same as other cus tomers, who borrow for ninety dsys or four months and renew the loans at the end of that time. When the wool loans expire If the growers have not sold their clip and want to renew the loans for thirty days to four months longer we would, of course, extend the time, conditions being favorable. The banks always reserve the right to say Jell-0 with AVhippedCrcara" DESSERT. to-day whether a loan shall be renewed or riot. There Is no more reason to suppose that we will call our loans on wool than that the eastern houses will have the loans called by the banks from which they bor row to advance money to growers on wool. "There need be no fear about the Omaha banks pressing the wool growers for their money and the first loan would carry them to October Jo, If made In June. In this time it Is fair to suppose that the growers will realise on their clips." SHE CAN FIND HIM NOW, EASY Moan Will Have No Trewblo ta Locating; Her Hnaband for Tea Das.
