Shooters were nuirieivtif, slihough the
weather was bad for the opening day of
tha annual amateur shoot of the Omsha
Gun club at the Townsend paik at the east
end of tha Douglas street bridge Tuesday.
Sixty shooters were In attendance Tuesday
morning and many more are expected be
fore tha three-day shoot Is over. Many of
the old-timers wer on hand and the affair
a as a aort cf reunion of the cracks cf all
parta of the country. While these wera
barred from competition In the amateur
events, they a-ere permitted to shoot, al
though they were not allowed a division
of the money.
Four eventa were shot off in the fore
coon, with Captain Hardy making the best
score, breaking sixty straight tsrgeta. Mrs.
R. A. Austin of Crest on waa the only
woman shooting in the tournament Tues
day morning.
Tha clouds were lowering and the day
dark, making good shooting almost out of
the question, because of the row of trees
beyond the traps, which on a dark day
force the shooters to permit tha targets to
rise above that added horlxon.
Many compliments were passed upon the
committea for the excellent manner in
which everything at tha grounds a as han
dled. Marshall Sharp wa cashier and
handled the events with his usual precision
and speed, causing no delays In getting
tha men to the traps. The committee in
charge of the tournament consists of W.
D. Townsend snd H. B. McDonald, man
agers, and G. W. Loo mis, secretary.

ough of London and Archibald M. Howe of

Martha Greenough was declared to be the
lawful widow at a recent trial, owing to a
divorce granted to her in Colorado being

estate. Mrs. Emma Greenough alleges that
Martha and Mr. Greenough conspired to

when the latter was already the legal hus
