Captain Franck and bis colts arrived
frcm Bioux City Wedneaday morning and
put In 'the day practicing up som new
t-le-ks to use on Ouy Oreen'a Indians whn
they come for th opening game this after
noon. Tha Indiana are a pretty foxy
bunch themselves and are billed to be real
contenders for th pennant this year.
The Rourke family la In pretty fair con
dition for tha fray, although two of tha
re guls rs ara out of th game, for a time,
Oordtng got hurt at es Moines and will
soon be in shape and Graham la still out.
Th Rourke family has finished its first
short trip away from home and la now at
horn and ready for the opening of the
season In Omaha- The team haa had a
successful trip, even though forced to g1v
up tha last two games to Sioux City, and
la now tied for second place with the Boo,
who are keeping up the terrific gait at
which they started In the exhibition series.
Don Carlos Ragan has been groomed for
the opening gam Thursday with Lincoln.
He Is In fine fettle and haa won both the
game ha haa pitched, having had a splen
did chance to condition himself during a
southern trip with Cincinnati. Hall will be
in reserve, for th second game.
It Is th first gam In which all Omaha
la Interested. On that day the band will
play and the pennant will be unfurled from
th big pole which has been watting for a
couple of years for that honor. Acting
Mayor Johnson will toss th first ball and
Brother Dev will loosen up on a new
atck of goobers.
Graham la still forced to use hie crutches
and probably will not b in th game
until the team returns front the western
trip. King at short makes a great utility
man. especially because of th manner In
which he haa been hitting th bail during
the opening games.
Th band will alao be on hand Friday,
which will b the first ladles' day of the
season, and the women hav signified their
intention of turning out In fore to' show
Pa they appreciate the honor.

Even In its early stages Catarrh Is a most distressing' ailment, caused by
the stuffy feeling; in the head, ringing; noises in the ears, watery eyes, difficult
breathing, continual "hawking and pitting,"etc., bat when the blood becomes
thoroughly saturated with the impurities which produce the disease it becomes
a serious and often dangerous disorder. Then the bronchial tubes are attacked,
the bladder and kidneys diseased, and often the lungs become affected by the
constant passage of impure blood through them and Catarrh terminates in
Consumption. The impurities and poisons in the blood which, produce Catarrh
can never be removed through the ue of sprays, inhalations, washes, etc.
Such treatment cannot reach the real cause, and their use alone ehould nerer
be depended on to cure the disease. S. S. S. cures Catarrh by cleansing the
blood of all impure catarrhal matter. It goes down and attacks the disease at
its head, ia the circulation, and removes every trace of the impurity that is
causing the trocble. Then as rich, purified blood is carried to all parts of the
system the symptoms gradually leave, the health is improved, and S. S. S.
makes a permanent cure of the trouble. Special book on Catarrh and any
medical advice desired sent free to all who write.
