mm 11 nan me errect or greatly unsettling
and confusing speculative sentiment and
increasing suspicion until stocks were un

yesterday late market waa held to be an
infalllable sign that the bull leadership
had let down prices on Monday and early
yesterday merely for the purpose of shak.
Ing off a weak speculative following and
u. ""'vantage of buying haxk stocks
which they had themaelvea sold out at a

today after a moderate advance proved dis
concerting to this view or the situation.
Incidents In the flay' news were sgainat
a rise In prices. The market allowed pri
mary reslatanee, however, to tho principal
of these, which was reduction in the New

per cent basis. This action caused no great
surprise as the original advice In the div

the earliest to suffer from the heavy In

that subject thus removed from the realm

gone for an element which has made use

on tho Union Typewriter stock, although

to relieve It The knowledge that men In

ailkiuP Kecelpts of sheep were very
heavy thl morning, there being more re
ported at thl point than at any other.
However, figure in this case were 'some
what misleading, a thirty-one oar con
sisted of Colorado on their way to feed
lot to be horn and fed out, , and they
were not offered for sale.
While th general market was quoted
by most operators a steady, there were
a a matter of fact high apots and low
spots. Thu choice Mexican lamb, which
were lower yesturday. selling at 17.35, were
back today Where they were th flrt of
the week, a choice bunch going at 17.50,
which I a high as anything ha sold
for o far thl year. On the other hand,
th medium kinds nt fat i.
al and th feeling not overly strong.
..i minus were again in very active
demand, the barn being full of buyer look
ing for that kind of stuff. Th result was
good, active trade on feeders, with prices
trong. Quite a little trlng of feeder lamb
old up to $ .80. the highest price paid for
feeder so far thl year.
Fat sheep of good quality generally com
manded ateady price. Good Mexican year
ling, with a few wether with them, sold
