Reese of Lincoln, who for the last seven weeks has been travrllng over the Island of Cuba In the Interest of Omaha and Nebraska capitalists, returned Tuesday to make his report, which was that he had bought l'.CH) acres of land In the eastern part of the Island. Mr. Reese affirms the view expressed by other Nebraskans who have recently re turned from Cuba, namely, that American control is desired. He says: , "The outcome of the political situation cannot be foretold. The responsible ele ment Is anxious for complete annexation and the only trouble expected Is from the mor radical of the liberal party, which Is composed largely of blacks.
