and the Kngli-s divided honors at
Linton strwt park Thursday aftt-rnoon
wh'n Pa Rourko donated tils sliare of the
gat n-relpts to the Ogles' bulldlnir fund,
and the Rourke family shut out Duncan's
Sioux by the score of 4 to 0. The Eagles
turned out In poodly numbers to help
boost the good cause along, and they
brought thHr wives and sweethearts with
them until they nenrly filled the huge
rrnndstnnd and the boxes besides. Dan
Canon, Fotin nfclieln and Will Sto Kham
were the gr.-irxl financiers of the occasion
and 1. iked after the money as It appeared,
and all went homo ha;py because Omaha
had won.
Rattan had been out of the game slnca
July 4, when he wrenched the muscles In
his back In hitting up flies at Des Moines,
but he was In good pitching; form, for all
he had his ribs In slings, and did not aire
the Bloux a chance to score, not a man
getting as far as third base. Such heavy
hitters as Weed, Hart, Nobllt and D. Shee
lian did not come near to making a hit,
and the others were few and far between.
In two Innings only did It look as though
the Inincan's might do something, bat In
each of these nothing happened. In tho
third J. Bheehan and Corhett, the first
men up, filt for singles, but Sheehan was
caught trying to make third when La
nrand dropped a pitched boll for a minute
and Nance hit Into a double. Duncan has
two new outfielders, Nance, an old timer,
who formerly played with Toledo and who
Is quite a hitter, and Dressier who played
with Wllllamsport In the Trt-State loague.
Corbett did the throwing for Sioux City
and he was hit hard at the start, but
'iftirwards tightened up and pitched great
ijall. In the opening Inning Belden flew out
!o Nobllt and Franck walked. Checkering
Jilt for a nice double, which put Franck on
:hlrd, when along came Welch with a fly
to Nance, on whldh Franck scored. Autrey
abided his time until Joe Dolan sent him
icrosa the plate with a double, making two
runs for a starter. In the second Inning
Omaha made two singles, but Belden and
Franck flew out to the outfield and no
ccorlng was done In thfvt Inning.
Autrey opened up the third Inning with
his second double of the day and scored on
Welch's single, the doctor going to second
on the throwln. Dolan flew out to Nobllt,
but Welch advanced a base on Graham's In
field out and came home on Austin's two
ascker. From that time on Mr. Corbett
tightened up and Omaha made no further
scores. The nearest was when Welch
walked In the fifth, was sacrificed to sec
ond and stole third. Ho stole third bo
cause Bheehan did not think he would
have the nerve to try and was not watch
ing for the steal. Austin walked and then
he and Welch tried for a double steal,
which did not work, Welch being caught
tt the plate.
The game was characterised by clean
fielding and the absence of any wrangling.
Not an error was made by either side and
the Fettles all got their money's worth.
The same taairts this afternoon.
The score:
OMAHA.

Beer
Prevents
Dyspepsia
America has been
called a nation of dys
peptics. Were we to
drink more beer, there
would be less dyspep
sia. Where beer is the
national beverage dys
pepsia is little known.
For years Pabst has
recognized this food
principal in brewing
Pabst
BlueRibbon
The Beer of Quality
The Pabst Eight-Day
Malting Process, takes twice)
as long as other methods of
making malt, but it retains
every particle of the food
value of the barley-grain in
the malt.
The Pabst Brewing Pro
cess extracts all of these
rich, nutritious, health-giving
food values from the
malt, and transmits them
in predigesttd form to the
beer.
Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer
is therefore an active aid to
digestion, and consequently
an enemy of dyspepsia.
Drink Pabst Blue Ribbon
Beer regularly at meals and
between meals your diges
tion will be better, your
health better and your
strength greater.

a fast grounder In one mlt, whirled and
touched the base and then completed a
double.
Duncan Is trying to get a catcher for his
Sioux City team. He has wired to get
Townsend or Zalusky from Grand Island.
Spies has quit the game, leaving Duncan
with but one catcher.
Conahan was badly bruised, especially on
the knee, where Murphy hit him with the
pitched ball, but he worked behind the bat
and called upon Pitcher Hall of the Omaha
teum to make base decisions for him.
Lincoln Wins a. Tight One.
IJNCOLN, July 18. Lincoln won from
Des Moines today In one of the closest and

to Fenlon, whose quick return of the ball
kept M'Lear on third. Dexter then struck
out and Andreas flew out to Fenlon.
Through a combination of circumstances
In the eleventh Des Moines scratched out

Fltrslrnmons did not show a trace of his

Johnson could have stopped him In the

1 lie blow that put Fltxslmmons out was a
