and failed to woka in time to do any bus
iness. It looked like every play almost
was an error on the part of the home
team, though only seven were charged.
The fans were Just as enthusiastic and
relied Just as long and blamed the urn.

Both teams scored In the second, Sioux
City getting two. The locals got their
run by singles by Gagnler, Zlnran and
Eackort, Gagnler making the rounds. In
the eighth Fox. Fenlon an4 Davidson

Jut. .Thomas sent a long drive to center,
which of course was caught, but Fox got
second on the throw. Fenlon tried to
jet back to second, but was cut off:
Zackert gave Weed a base In the sec
ond. Hart made a hit and Weed scored on
3. Sheehan s hit Hart was caught at
third. Sheehan was sacrificed to second
and came home in the fifth when Weed
got a hit and Fenlon muffed a couple of
tiles, during which time Weed circled. In
the sixth Gagnler caught Granville's
, grounder, which he thought was a fly and
allowed him to get to first- Granville
went to second on Spies' hit and home
on an Infield out. The score:

won an Interesting game from the South
Omaha Country club by the score cf 2
to 1 on the letter's diamond at the South
Omaha Country club grounds Saturday
afternoon. The game was closely con
tested throughout, and was not won till
the ninth inning, when the Exchange
players bunched hits, Lyons opening th
Inning with a home-run drive to deep left,
which whs claimed a foul, and then mak
