Dato. I 1907. 19(i6. 1906. 19n4.19o3. 1903. 1901.
FHF.KP tnly six tars were reported In
this morning and three of them were direct
to packers. In other words, there wss not
enough of anything to make a test of the
market. The fen loads on snle brought
prices that looked about steady with ) eater-day.
As will hafe been noted from the re
ports made from nay to day. the market
since Monday hna been slow, with a weaker
tendency, owing to the fact thnt eastern
msrkets have been grnduslly weakening
ffT. The feellne on the part of buyers
both here and elsewhere Is that prevailing
prices are too high anil In consequence
they are acting on the bear side.

steady prices, and In some cases, if any
thing, looked a little strong as compared
with yesterday. The market on cows and
heifers has been In a good healthy condi
tion all the week, and under the Influence
of the good d'-mand snd moderate receipts
prices have shown some strength.
Stockers and feeders were In very light
supply, as usual at this time In the week,
and the market was without quotable
change. In fact, there has been very little
change In the maiket alj this week. Qotxl
light stockers have been In very good de
mand and the tendency on that kind has
been upward.

HOGS Today's hog trade was rather un
even, prices showing more or less advance,
according to the time of day that the sales
weto mude. Snme of the tlrs,t sales made
were no mote than 5c higher, while on the
Other hand some of Ihe later sales looked
fully 10c higher. Thus the bulk of all the
hogs sold at i6.3orfi6 87H. whereas yesterdny.
It will be remembered, a very large pro
portion of the hogs brought 36.224'u 30. In
other words, the general market was
right at Vic higher. The trade waa fairly
active when once underway and Hit bulk
of tha hogs changed hands in good season in
the morning. Jooays advance carries the
to the highest point touched so
month.
