The accused la charged with attempting to disembowel Sergeant Romage one day last week with an axe. The trouble bt tween the two men grew out of a quarrel a day or two previous while Holeman was) alleged to be under the Influence of liquor. He was employed as a teamster by the government at Fort Omaha and was under charge of Sergeant Romage. During the quarrel Sergeant Romage knocked Hole man down. Smarting under his humlluw tlon Holeman, It Is alleged, went to Bar geant Romage'a quarters the same night and undertook to assault him with an axe, accompanying the assault with dire threats. Holeman was arrested and placed In the guard house and brought to Omaha, and lodged In the city jail. He was re leased the following day, no one appearing against him In police court, but was again, arrested by the United States authorities on ths complaint of Bergeant Romage and his healing Monday morning Is the result of that arrest.
