For a Friday, the market on beef steer was in very satisfactory condition. Local packer all seemed to want a few cattle and titer wa a buying demand from th outBldo, so that the trade a a whole waa fairly actlve. A to prices, the general run of tlis cattle, was at least steady, with the heavier cattle a little stronger. Most everything in sight changed hand In fair season in the morning. Cow and heifer were ateady to strong and the trade wa more active than usual on a Friday. The demand wa suftlclently brlHk to effect a reasonably early clearance of the offerings. There were no new development in the stocker and feeder market. Cattle of that description have aold t good advantage all the week and the country demand has been aufllrtently large to keep the receipt well oiearfed up.
