Mrs. A- J. Noble of Chicago.
Captain Wood cam. to Omaha about

Vetera, of Civil War.
Captain Wood waa a veteran of the civil
war, enlisting at the beginning of th. war
with th. seventh Fennsylvania volunteers
and serving until th. cloae of hostilities,
when be had been promoted to a captaincy
and had served with distinction. His regi
ment wa. attached to the Department of
th. Potomac and waa engaged in all the
Important battles of th. war. He bore
twenty-seven gunshot wounds at the time
of hla death which were received during
th. war. on. of which had caused him to
be crippled In on. leg.
Definite arrangements for th. funeral
have not been mad. aa yet, but services
probably will be held Friday at th. Second
Presbyterian church. A daughter, Mrs.
A- J. Noble of Chicago, will arrive Wednes
day to be In attendance at the funeral, but
the other daughter living out of the city,
Mrs. Ruggles of Roxbury, Mass., will not
be able to attend, on account of th. serious
Illness of her husband.
