Howard street In violation of the" Slocumb law. waa lined $100 and costs after pleading guilty to the charge of keeping a disor derly house. His bartender, Florance Thles sen, who was arrested In the raid of the saloon, waa discharged. Martig had Intimated to Chief Donahue he would plead guilty, but hurriedly changed his mind when he found that such action would place his license In jeopardy. in conversation Wednesday morning with City Prosecutor Daniel, Martig said he would fight the case If the charge was for selling liquor on Sunday, but agreed to plead guilty If he was charged with the lesser offense of keeping a disorderly house. Mr. Daniel was of the opinion that the evidence of Martlg'a having sold liquor was none too strong, so filed the complaint on the disorderly house charge, to which Martig pleaded guilty.
