it will take me soma time to get a grasp

atnee I have been coming here. In direct
contrast to the boom of the 80' s, the ad
vance in values now Is on a most sub
stantial basis. For some time I have been
considering the advisability of spending
some money on my Omaha property, and.
In fact, of erecting another building like
the Chatham, and what I shall do In this
matter la to be determined in a few days,
lir. Conrad Young has supplied me with
much- valuable information; I have looked
into the situation myself and I will think
everything over on my trip west.

"I leave Christmas afternoon for Cher

"In addition to my real estate business, I

I will be visited on ray return trip east."
I Sir Horace refuses to be drawn Into any
discussion of aiT uire political, and for fear
of being misquoted I a little backward

politics. Regarding the utterance of T.
M. Kettle, M. P., In Omaha a few days
ago, be declined to say anything. That
he has decided views on Irish questions,
however, is shown in bis book, "Ireland In

One of the questions to be determined by
Fir Horace, If he decides to erect a bach

the lower portion of the city or farther

the Chatham.
"Mi hall is a paying investment as a

Horace has to consider the Inclination ot
people to room away from the lower parts
of the city and the probability of similar
hafihelors' quarters being erected farther

dead run down the street. The officer saw
what was up and gave chase and after 1
firing several shots at the fugitive sue- j
ceeded in placing him under arrest.
While the attention of the officers was
engaged with Weir, Irving crawled out of !
the cellar window and escaped but only to
be arrested about 8:30 Monday morning by
Detectives Heltfcldt and Donahoe at Four
teenth and Douglas streets.
The police, including Chief Donahue, are.
very much elated over the capture of the
burglars, as It Is hoped they might be the
men who have been operating in that line
so extensively of late. It Is not known If
they have criminal records but the des
criptions of the men will be sent to sur
rounding cities -to ascertain If they are
wanted for other crimes.
