MOVE TO GET CEREAL MILLS
Public Meeting; to Offer Inducements
Proposed by Members of Cons
merclal t'lob.
Members of the Commercial club sr
proposing a public meeting to discuss ways
and means of attracting capital to Omaha
to build flouring and cereal mills, and the
matter will be put before the executive
committee of the club soon. The plan Is
to have a large meeting of cillxens, which
will be addressed by one or perhaps two
authorities on the milling business from
Minneapolis or the east, and by grain deal
ers of the local market. It will be the Idea
to agitate the subject as much as possible,
with the ho; that some material good will
come of It, Just as the establishment of the
Omaha Grain exchange grew out of the
public meeting, at which President Stlckney
of the Great Western was the leading
figure.
