son of the Omaha Printing company. Mr.
Johnson la one of the few men niw living
who set foot on Nebraska soli as they
crossed th Missouri river near Nebraska

ritory Mr. Johnson returned to Iowa and
returtie1 again to Nebraska in 1854. Mr.
Johnson -was one of the old time freighters
from the Missouri river. to California when

Mr. Johnson as the first president of the

& Co. Mr. Johnson-is now living a retired
life at the age of .7 on a mammoth fruit
farm he owns near San Jose. .
