He expressed the hopu that thulr visit would be fraught with pleasure and profit. He omitted mention ing anything about tha lid- being lifted any while they were In town. ' H. H. Vogt of Davenport, supreme presi dent, responded to the addreaaes of wel come In a neat speech, during which ho said It gave the delegatea much pleasure , to hold thlr convention In Council Bluffs and they felt aasured of being treated roy--ally, as the city had the well earned rep utation of being a royal hostess to all such bodies which gathered within her galen. A committee to report on this question waa alao appointed as well a the usual stand ing committees.
