The restraining order secured from Judge Troup affected what are known as the "Mud creek," "Jetter creek," "High land park" and the "north branch N street gulch" sewers. Ths cost of the work under the contracts which have been let by the city council is 8240.890, while the share of the bond is sue apportioned In the election call for these four sewers wasonry $204,000. It is contended that the work cannot be done until sufficient money to pay the entire cost Is raised. , The bonds were-voted last winter and In the election notice the description- of ths sewers and the amount of the lasue .to be alloted to ach were set forth. When bids were called for It waa found the amounts named in the election notloe wets not high enough in the case of the four sewers. The council went ahead and let the contract for all . atx of the sewers. The contract' price for the Mud creek sewer was $106,179.68, although but $140,000 of the $260,000 was alloted to this work, la tha contract It was provided the work should begin at the lower end of 'ths sewer building toward ths city and the work should be completed ss far as -possible with ths 1140,000 oa hand.
