OMAHA. July 18 To the Editor of The
Bee: As a misunderstanding between, Mr.
Harrison, manager of the Dtetx team, and
myself 1 wish to state to our friends that
we will not play at the Diets park the com
ing Sunday, July 23, as we expected to.
We have played but two games there so
far this season, each team winning one
game, and I feel as though our friends
should know this fact, the third game will
be played on Sunday, August 13. I am
very anxious that my team should meet
all of the fastest teams In- the dry and
state no matter what condition and shape
we have been lrt, we -have always made It
Interesting for the fans. I-et me hear from
you, managers. . - HARRY H. SAGE.
.- Manager. Sterling Base Ball Club.
I Phone Douglas 467. 1138 No. 17th St.
Answer of Joe DntTeya. ' '. , '
"To the Sporting Editor of The Bee: In
reference to the reply of' the Victors and
Nonpareils, we don't wish to 'force any
ball team to play us. -.We have gone to the
expense of about 3400 to -build a ball park
for amateurs to play-In and' the teams
and crowds that have visited 'tn our park
were pleased with their treatment.' In view
of the above facts, we deem It silly and
very much childlike on" the part of the
Victors and Nonpa-rells to take exceptions
tb our park. Nevertheless, we would be
pleased' to play', them any time. Tours
