"JX?ATTIjE1 There were no fresh 'receipt
of cattle today- of any consequence and all
rnat could be said regarding the current
day's market. 1 .to -quote . It aa nominally
steady. -The receipt for the week, a will
be tinted from the table at the beginning
i'f this report, have been comparatively,
small, showing a slight decrease a oom
rard with Ut week and a etlll greater
deereaae aa compared with a year ago.
The fiicl 12 the' recelpta this week have
batnUhe smallest of any week since April.'
The quality df the cattle, a nitght be
expected at this season of the year, has
been quite good on an average. Die receipts
being made up almost entirely of corn-fed
beeve.
The market on beef steers during the
wwek has shown no very great change In
any direction. . No very marked advance or
decline took place on any day during the
week, apch change aa did Ooour being de
scribed a steady to easier or eteady to
strong. At the close of the week the best
beef steers might be quoted as strung to
loc higher than last week, with the coarse,
heavy and unfinished cattle and grassy
kind ateady to lower.
Good dry lot cow and heifer have been
strong every day during th week for the
twdfold reason that the raoetpts have been
very light, while the demand has been ex
ceptionally good. Common grassy stock
hair been slow sale every day. being ne
glected for the better grades, flood 'fat
bulls have been good eellers. In f act have
sold as good as any time, but grass bull
for some reason or other do not appear to
be wanted, and reoetver of euoh have com
plained that It ha been hard work to move
them at satisfactory prices. VeaJ calves
have sold well all week, the best bringing
2 25.
Hardly enough stockers and feeders have
lieen received from day to day to make a
lest of values or to oall it a market. The
tew received have sold at satisfactory prices
for this season of the year, but aa a mat
ter of fact there has been very little doing
In thle branch of th cattle trade.

packers announcing that they would buy
the Hogs at steady prices or leave them
ajone. For a time the trade was pretty
dull, sellers fighting hard for higher prices,
but In the end they had to cut loose In
about yesterday's notches. The close was
If anything a little easier than yesterday,
th laat hogs selling largely at 26.20. It
will be noted that the stronger sales on
th opening makes tb average market a
trifle stronger than yesterday. It will also
be noted that the hogs sold st a somewhat
wider range today. Operators on the mar
ket are beginning tn talk that there Is
likely to be a gradual spread In prices, as
buyers seem to be giving mors preference
to the heavy hogs of ood quality, while
light hog are becoming more plentiful
every day. especially In the southern mar
ket point.

Every tourist who ever traveled over the famous "Georgetown
Loop" in Clear Creek county, Colorado, has heard the names of
the following mines the big producer that, for four decades, have
brought forth the yellow gold and the shimmering silver that have
made this section far famed:
The Terrible, the Centennial, the Mendota, the Snow
Drift, the Silver Plume, the Griffith, the South American,
the Pay Rock, the Fred Rogers, the Cashier, the Star of
the West, the Scoot, the Polar Star Extension, the White,
the Silver Glance and the Clift, which produced from
$125,000 to $8,000,000 each.-
Right in the midst of these, midway between the cities of
Georgetown and Silver Plume, is the property of the Georgetown
Loop Mining Company, owning 25" claims and a mill sight; in all,
108 acres. This property, on Clear Creek, with railway facilities,
is being opened by a crosscut tunnel that will drain the property
while developing it at depth. Assays, running from $17.50 to $105
a ton, prove that mineral is there and we know it is there in
quantities. When you buy into Georgetown Loop, you connect
with something worth your while. At 10 cents (par $1.00) this stock
has no equal. Twenty-five cents is the next jump and then
likely fifty cents. The property, the development, the mineraliza
tion, the location, the management everything combines in re
commending it.
