A usual on a Kilday thdw was no great change in the situation, the trade being rather dull. Good beef steers seemed to be In fair demand and cattle coming under that head aa a rule sold In pretty good season and at price fully steady with yeaterday. On the common to medium grade the ttade wa alow, with buyer mdlfferen. Htlll price were not materially changed. There were not to exceed ten or a dozen load of cow and heifers on sale thl morning. The dry lot kinds sold quite readily at about stesdy prices, but grass ci.wi and heifers were very weak anl dull. The fact la grassy stock has been steadily declining, all the week, being now at the low point of fhe season st far. , There were no stockers or feeder of any consequence In sight and the demand wa very slack. The bottom is pretty much out of the feeder trade at the pres ent time. Th receipt on Wednesday were quite liberal and a good many of those cattle are still in the hand of the specu lator. It Ukes very good cattle at the present time to bring 34.00. In fact, pretty good cattle are selling conldei ablv under that figure. In other worda. cattle of lhl description are 60c lower than they were a week or ten day ago, and some quote It even lower than that.
