morning.

was talking told me the steel structures

from the west. She had lost her home and
everything she had In the Galveston flood
and after building up a new home had lost
that In Ban Francisco. She aays she Is re
turning east to show some of her married
daughters she Is well. She will return to
Ban Francisco.
"I bought copies of The Bee on the streets
of Los Angelas for the Thursday, Friday
iand Saturday after the earthquake and
they contained a much fuller account of
the catastrophe than anything which had
been obtainable up to that time in Los
f Angeles. Hut one wire was working from

were light, for the reason that most of

ing company, and a number of smaller
owners transferred their property last
