flour from Kansas City to the Atlantic sea
board. An understanding exist between
the railroads to protect Omaha on all ratea
against Kansas City, and a movement
Is on hand to ask the roads to protest
against the Inst rate by the Milwaukee.
The contract was made by the Milwaukee
for the business and the rate then pub
lished, and when asked for an explanation
the Milwaukee official ald they had been
deceived by a representative of the Big
Four. Thi rate Is now published. Here
tofore when lower rate has been made
from Kansas Clly l: the seaboard the rail
roads have stepped In and protected
Omahs. This was done by the Wabash on
packing house products recently.
