Captain Dunn of the police department Is a resident of that immediate neighborhood, where the ( chief crime has been chicken stealing, and it so happens that the captain recently was a sufferer from this imposition. Deputy United States Marshal Saminons returned Friday morning from Mullen and vicinity, where he had been dispatched to arrest R. W. Mahaffey and A. F. Hatch, ranchmen, charged with per jury and subornation of perjury in certain fraudulent hnal proofs made on land en tries within the Mahaffey pasture near Mullen. Ths accused men were taken be for United States Commissioner O'Keefe at Hjannls and gave bonds In $6,000 each for their appearance before the federal grand Jury in May.
