The funeral of Nels Lausten, the saloon '

from Washington hall under th auspices
of the Danish Brotherhood. More ths
ordinary Interest was manifested In tha

resident of the community and a loving
and devoted father and husband. Many,
of the city's prominent business men who
knew Lausten for a qusrter of a century
attended the funeral and took a sorrowful
glance over the bier of the murdered man.
Nearly all places of business on Cuming
street, from Sixteenth to Twenty-fourth,
were closed during the hours of th
funeral, which was an unusual feature In
connection with local funerals. -
Members of the Danish Brotherhood -semlild
at Washington hall, received the

the service conducted by Rev. Newman
