A tough, who was trying to get a drink without cost, went against the wrong msn when, he tried to intimidate Paul Coldren the other night. How was he to kaow ths man whom he accosted was an athlete, a man who had been captain of ths Iowa foot ball team in ths tats '90s7 Well, ha didn't know It at the time, but In less than two minutes after, ha suspected ths stranger had either played the great college gams or busted bronchos. Coldren was walking at ths corner of Sixteenth and Howard streets, when the tough asked him for a dime to gst a drink. He replied that he didn't have aay money, at which the man of ths streets brwadly hinted that ha was a liar. Quick as a flash Coldren's fist shot out and landd on ths beggar's Jaw, felling him to ths pavt ment. Tha fellow got up and rushed for ward, only to be met with another vklous jab which knocked him down and almost put him out of business. By this time, two of his pals, who had been waiting around ths corner, saw what was going on and rushed to the assistance of their com rade. Coldren decided he was no match for three of them and he ran away. Ths old time foot ball boy happened to pass through Omaha and stopped a day to visit friends. Another wtottns of an accident, Editor Sohuels of Colum bus, O., was cured of bis wound by Buck, ten's Arnica Salve. Try tt. 26c. For sal by Sherman ft McConncU Drug Ca.
