APPRAISERS HOLD MEETING
Mea to Value Omaha Water Plaat
Hold Sessloa la Milwaukee,
Saya Craig".
The Board of Appraisers for the Omaha
Water company met In Milwaukee Inst
week to resume work on the long walted
for report as to the value of the property.
This Is the news brought back from Chi
cago by Assistant City Engineer G. W.
Craig, who returned Sunday from a fw
days' visit to Chicago. Mr. Craig called
at the office of Appraiser John W. Alvopl
and was told by Mr. Alvord'a partner. Mr.
Burdlck, that the former and Appraiser
Mead had gone to Milwaukee to meet with
Appraiser Benxenberg for work on the re
port. Mr. Craig understood Mr. Burdlck
to say this was the first meeting of the
board since proceedings were started by
the Omaha Water board last summer to
have the federal court direct a separate
report on the separate properties as they
exist In and out of Omaha. This attempt
was successful and the appraisers were so
ordered by Judge Munger.
"This was all I learned," said the as
sistant city engineer.
Isaac E. Congdon, one of the members of
the Water .board who has taken the most
active Interest In the effort to acquire the
plant, was asked If he had any news from
the appraisers.
"Not a ward," said Mr. Congdon. "What
you tell me Is the first Information I have
on the Milwaukee meeting. Bo far as I
know no other member of the board has
been notified about It. If he had I rather
think the Information would get to me."
