masonry on I08 miles of the Tidewater and
Deepwater railroads, extending from Roan
oke, Va., 108 miles west into West Vir
ginia. The work Is very heavy rock work;
the line nearly paralleling the Norfolk and
Western railrdad. The work consists of a
number of short and long tunnels, heavy
steam shovel work and many miles of good
station work. The heavy work will last
two years.
