receiver for. the defunct bank of W. B
Brown at Storm Lake, today testified in
damaging manner against the defendant
He said that In the list of resource In
eluded In Brown's report to the comptroller
of the currency were a number of corpora
tions of which W. E. Brown was the aola
owner. Brown had organised these com
panies under various names and then
loaned them sums ranging from $2,000 to
$15,000 from th Flrt National bank of
Storm Lake, of which he waa president In
this manner Wilson figured that Brown was
Indebted to the bank $70,000. Wilson aub-
mltted to the court a report of th actual
condition of the bank, allowing discrep
ancies In many waya with the report filed
at Washington by Brown.

told of being Instructed by Brown to make
certain change In th book relative to the
date of the alleged certificates of deposit
with the Des Moines National bank.
