ment," said John W. Stelnhart of Nebraska
City to The Bee over long-distance tele
phone Thursday morning.
Mr. Stelnhart Is chairman of the Arbor
Day Memorial association and has direc
tion of the arrangements for the ceremonies
In honor of the late J. Sterling Morton
when the monument to his memory will be
unveiled and dedicated In Morton park at
Nebraska City.
"I wish, through The Bee, to correct the
false report sent out by the Associated
Tress regarding the data of this function,"
asserted Mr. Stelnhart. "The Associated
Press reported that It was to be October
14. That is an error. October 28, Saturday,
Is the date, and wa want It generally

loss of $61 In cash and a certificate of de

Omaha for $400. At the police station he
said that he had been walking and at
Thirteenth and Cass he was met by a
negro woman who decoyed him Into an
alley, took hla money from him and then
ran away. The police made an arrest or
two but Oleaon waa unable to Identify the
party who robbed him.
A quantity of the fall's snpply of
preserves and canned goods for the
Dreifold family waa stolen from the cellar
of II. H. Drelfold's premises at 1441 North
Twentieth street Wednesday night.
During the parade of Wednesday aftemon
the premises of C O. Blanden at 8632
Hawthorne avenue were broken Into by
kicking open the kitchen door, and $1 In
change stolen.
A leather suit case was stolen from the
premises of Mrs. La Pine at 716 South
Sixteenth street Wednesday afternoon.
The suit case had been left In her keeping,
and about the only article of value It con
tained waa a safety raxor. That went with

along the line of march. The plan Is to
tuke a Jaunt of about six miles this even
ing, take supper and sleep In a barn. After
breakfast In the morning the return trip
