From July a to August 2fi, 190fi. a num

From Omaha and Kansas City to F-ast

LA ,F0LLETTE IN THE SADDLE
Reformer ld to Hold Tight Grip
on the People of Hla
state.
Arthur Bishop of Appteton, TVts., who
visited William Coburn at the city hall
Wednesday on his way home from a trip
through Wyoming, says Senator I.a Follette
holds the Badger state politically In his
hands. ,
"He has the people aroused to a sense of
decency and honesty In public affairs," says
Mr. Bishop. "It makes no difference
whether the label Is republican or demo
cratic. Everything that La Follette wants
goes. He has a wife who Is his equal In
many wayt Intellectually and la a constant
help and, source of Inspiration to him. At
a meeting not lopg ago In Appleton when
La Follette denounced a treacherous mem
ber of the legislature men In a vast audi
ence were so aroused that they threw their
hats and coats high In the air and In other
ways showed wild excitement. This Just
after an opposition speaker had bitterly
denounced La Follette a few days before."
