INSANE SEEKIMC HUSBAND
Woman Flies Souoh from Ohio and ii
Cemented on Arming Here.
MISSING MAN OUT OF CITY AT WORK
Wife Ilelatra Incoherent Tals - to
Ilia ' Employers and Police,
Who Take Her la
Charge.
After worrying nearly a month over the
fortune of her husband and feeling herself
unable longer to live without his compan
ionship, Mrs. Rachel Brlggs of Toledo, O.,
made the long trip to Omaha in search of
Kim. only to arrive in a demented condi
tion and to find her husband at least tem
porarily out of the city.
Mrs. Brlggs appeared at the police sta
tion Saturday morning and demanded of
Captain Mostyn that she be allowed to see
her husband. The officer asked her a few
questions and determlnod very quickly the
woman was not in full possession of her
right mind. Bhe told a strange and in
coherent tale of misfortune and abuse.
Tlio woman was placed In the charge of
Police Matron Anderson and will be cared
for until her husband is found or she re
covers her sanity. She Is quite well along
In years.
From Mrs. Brlggs" story and the Investi
gations that Captain Mostyn has been able
to make he thinks that Brlggs left his
former home at 1423 Mlcawber street, To
ledo, and came west because he had be
come involved in the tolls of loan agents
and installment houses. It appears his full
name is Peter Snyder Franklin Brlggs and
he secured employed as a grading boss or
foreman with the Owens-Lovelace Con
tracting company, with offices at 20 Barker
block, under the name of Frank Snyder.
He was sent out to handle a job on the
Union I'aclllc, but has not reported for
several days and the firm does not know
his exact whereabouts. He wrote to a wife
in Toledo and proved to be a capable grad
ing man.
Before coming to the police station Mrs.
Brlggs called at the contracting firm's office
and told much the same Incoherent story
that she did at the police station.

PR OH ITS WORLD'S FAIR TRIUMPH
Now Comes Carl Hagenbeck'a Won
derful Trained Wild Animal Show.
We may count upon seeing in Council
Bluffs Monday, June 26, even a bigger and
better, a more exceptional, sensational, sur
prising and mirth-provoking show than
the one which proved the master magnet
and wonder of the Pike at the St. Louts
great World's fair. Incidentally it is tho
finest menagerie ever organized; it Is the
rarest, costliest and most wonderful
trained aggregation of wild beasts, equlnes,
bovlnes, canines, etc., ever seen, and t
such perfection in scope, character and
presentation as only the greatest animal
dealer, breeder and trainer the world has
ever known could achieve. It Is a menag
erie in action, every one of which ten-score
splendid specimens is a star participant in
arenlc performances, where the most fero
cious and timid,! the destroyer and his
natural prey, the mutual antagonisms of
Inborn hatred and fear, are mastered by
interpld genius and kindness and merged
and intermingled in sociable, united efforts
to please. See the free moving wild beast
parade and you will get a full and endur
ing soologlcal understanding of Just what
the expression' J' wide open" stands for.
