the last meeting for the year of the Ne
braska Schoolmaster's club at Lincoln,
says that the gathering was one of the
best ones ever held by the club. "It was
a successful and brilliant affair," says the
superintendent. "The principal talk was

decline of oulture, which he found due to
absorption In the struggle for the dollar.
His address was philosophical and pro
found. Chancellor Andrews was elected
president of the club and George Towne of
the Nebraska Teacher was rechosen secre
tary. The high school fete day was en
