two youngest brothers of my grandfather,
was ever married."
The Cannon brothers, with whom their
eastern relatives will pool issues, have sent
a couple of Chicago lawyers to Pretoria,
South Africa, to look after their interests.
Thoy say a brother, John Heran Cannon,
of New York, has been la correspondence
with South African lawyer for several
months regarding the division of the es
tate, but that affairs have not been pro
ceeding fast enough to suit them.

here with her father and mother, Mr.
Cannon being employed at that time as a
traveling salesman for the Karrell Syrup
Company When very young Matle Cannon
married Joseph W. Munchoff, a brother of
Mary Munchoff, the famous singer. A lit
tle girl, who is now 6 years old, was born

hat Heran had left her his fortune, as
they did not know . she had ever met the
South African "diamond king," much less
had a love affair with him. For some
years the Cannons have lived in Chicago
and the head is understood to be ln the
syrup business. Joseph W. Munchoff, the
divorced husband, had the refreshment con
cession at the Auditorium last winter.

by James W. Abbott of the Department of-
Agiiculture of the United States govern
ment, who will secure data for hla depart
ment ana also to report at the meeting
of the National Good Roada convention in
Portland, which the machines will try to
teach.
