Total I.W 5.3SI7 4 SIS CATTLE There was a moderate run of cattle here this morning, but the quality was Interior and besioes thai, tiie re lic r to received from other polnti were very lavorable to the selling Interest, so that the market here waa rather alow with the teeling weak rather than otherwise. There were several load rf.beef steel on sale, but good cattle were scarce and in fact there was not a prime load in the yards. Packers were a little slow- about taking hold and their bids were aa a rule weak to a dime lower tban tie close of laat week, the gretet decline being in the common to medium kinds. The common quality of the offering of course had a tendency to make buyer indifferent and It wa rather late before a clearance waa made. The cow market held up In fairly good ahape. Good to choice gradet if anything were a little tronger a ahlppera were anxious for that kind, which made com petition keen. The common to medium kind sold at rather uneven price. In ome cases they told about steady, while In others they were weak to a dime low;. It will be remembered, however, that last week closed with the market rather uneven, which helped to make today price ap pear irregular. Built, veal calces tnd itg could not he quoted any more than steady. There was a good Inquiry for heavy feeders today and uch kind could be quoted steady to ptrong. some sale In fact being a muth a a dim higher. The com mon to medUm cattle, and particularly common light cattle, were lather slow sale, but as compared with tbe close of laat week there w not a great deal of change In ruling pr're.
