Robert and Katherlne HaaKsr come out on top In the contest In Judge Troup's court between themselves as the Regent Shoe company and Gorge Richardson and others as the Regent Shoe Manufacturing company. The latter company, began a suit against Haaker for the use of the name and Judge Troup has handed down an opinion in which the manufacturers are forever enjoined for doing business of sny sort In Omaha under the name of Regent Shoe Manufacturing - company or from claiming to have the sole right to make and sell shoes In thla city of that name. The case was dismissed at (be costs of the manufacturing company, but without prejudice. The company took exception to the holding and was given foriy days In which to file a bill of exceptions. v The case was brought by Richardson, who claimed to have the exclusive western right to manufacture Regent shoes. Haaker had been doing business under the name. Regent Shoe company for a long time previous to the coming of the Richard son factory to this city. He bought his shoes from another manufacturer. The Richardson people claimed the others had no right to make Regent shoes or to sell Regent shoes unless they were bought from the Omaha company. The similarity of the names after the Richardson factory. was brought to Omaha and reincorporated as the Regent Shoe Manufacturing company, led to a great amount of trouble In the delivery of freight and malt Mortality Statistics.
