Mr. Mllla has been with the Omaha office of the company for three years and during his residence hers has made hoi La of warm friends, who will regret to have him go, although with the regret la min gled the congratulations of those who are pleaaed al the promotion which they feel Mr. Mllla la entitled to by force of merit. His friends also feel that his genial and Ingenious personality qualify him for the duties which ha will assume In his new position in the east. Saturday this mani festation of their kindly regard was shown In the entertainment, whloh was engi neered by J. N. Neely, secretary of the Omaha and Council Bluff Paasengor bureau. The purposes ot ths organisa tion Is to provide an Insurance fund for the employee of the Burlington, which pro tects the men against accident, sickness and death. Wnlle it partakes of the na ture of an Insurance, It Is fraternal In obaracter and purely co-operative. We thought the girl had merely got Into the wrong berth or something of that kind, but as she could not b found, concluded that after all the woman might be correct. She declared she had told the porter to put a screen In the window, fearing just such an accident. "Instruction? t.'c sent out to have a search made, and the next day the girl was found asleep on a large, flat rock. She had fallen out of the window down the soft, slippery bank Of a' deep fill and had brought up at tha bottom In a group of bushes, aomawhat scratched and shaken up, but apparently not much hurt. She had wandered about for a while and had eventually gone to sleep again from weari ness.
