the suits now pending In the state and
federal courts to compel the railroads to
pay their proper and just share of the
city taxes on their local terminals. For
city purposes, the railroads are not paying
taxes' to exceed five (6) per cent on their
actual value, while home owners and In
dividuals are paying on about 100 per cent
