at critical tlmea until the ninth Inning, when
Rourke's followera found him for a total
of six hlta and 11 to run.
Omaha took Its first score In th'e fourth
on a two bsse hit by Welch and an out to
right field by Thomas and a single by
Dolan. They were blanked until the ninth,
when they opened fire and after a brilliant
batting rally, which threatened to; tie the
score, were retired bv a difficult catch by
Clarke In center field.
Des Molnea scored In the first five tnnlnga.
but were presented with goose eggs by
Henderson In the last three. The locals
had on theft batting clothes and were
aided to soma extent by slow work. Baer
wall suffered a brok'en finger In the ninth,
which will keep him out of the gams for
several weeks, depriving Des Molnea of
Its only catcher.
With the exception of the ninth the game
