CATTLE Recntnta of rsttla ween -llnhi
this morning even for a 1,'riaay. t,ut there
were plenty considering the tact that a
rain and anow storm was in progress. .The
same as yesterday, the cattle appeared in
abqut as - bad form . as possible, but still
there waa very little change from yester
day In tbe prices paid. ,
The few cars of Cornfed steers that, ar
rived aold at right around steady p. Jeer
In. some place's the market rma have-been
a shade easier, but the change waa so
small as to bt) .hardly worth- mentioning.
The extremely bad weather made, -buyers
anxious to clear the pens and as a result
they rode fast and practically everything
changed hands at an early hour. -As com
pared with a week ago, the market la .per
haps a little better, good, tidy, blocky cat
tle being right close to 1015c higher.
Heavy cattle, though, and the commoner
and warmed-up grades, have shown very
little change In either direction. -
The cow market was also Just about
ateady with . yesterday. Receipto were
light, but buyers were out in good senon
and bought up most everything offered at
steady prices. Oood lightweight cows and
heifers continued In the best demand and
such kinds ara quotably lo15c higher than
they were at tbe close of last wek. Heavy
oowa and the medium grades, as well as
canners, are selling In Just about tha same
notches they were a week ago.
There was no particular change In tha
bull market this morning and there Is also
vary little change from the close of laat
week. Veal calves ara also eteadv with
yesterday and with the close of last week.
There was practically no atocker and
feeder market. Tha bad weather mads buy
ers very cautious about getting any cattle
on hand, and besides - there were not
enough of them on sale to make a market,
Not Including today, tha market on deslrsX
bla grades Is strong to 10e?l5e higher than
a Week ago. Representative sales r
